As an Operations Manager at REP-TEC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the operations of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the highest quality standards. REQUIREMENTS
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve overall operational efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of production supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Process Optimisation:
- Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and cost reduction.
- Implement best practices to streamline production workflows and minimise waste.
- Implementation and management of IT systems that support operations.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards by implementing rigorous quality control measures.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
Resource Management:
- Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and procurement processes to maintain adequate stock levels.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits and train employees on safety procedures.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the operational budget, controlling costs while ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Identify areas for cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and progress towards goals.
- Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using ERP and other manufacturing software.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
