Operations Manager

We are currently seeking a talented Operations Manager to join our team and help us continue our growth trajectory. As an Operations Manager at REP-TEC, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the operations of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the highest quality standards. Your leadership and strategic thinking will be critical in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve overall operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set operational goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of production supervisors, technicians, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process Optimisation:

  • Analyse current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and cost reduction.
  • Implement best practices to streamline production workflows and minimise waste.
  • Implementation and management of IT systems that support operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards by implementing rigorous quality control measures.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve any quality-related issues promptly.

Resource Management:

  • Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and procurement processes to maintain adequate stock levels.

Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Promote and enforce a safe working environment by implementing and maintaining health and safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and train employees on safety procedures.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the operational budget, controlling costs while ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  • Identify areas for cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective solutions.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate regular reports on operational performance, key metrics, and progress towards goals.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a heavy manufacturing environment.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in using ERP and other manufacturing software.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
